The drill bit’s diamonds are cooled by a vegetable oil

based coolant inside the drill bit shank. This coolant

ﬂows through the drill bit tip during drilling and cools

the diamonds.

The coolant is released by the rotary motion of

the drill bit and by the volume reduction in the bit

body. The diamonds are effectively cooled during

drilling. This prevents wearing of the diamonds

and increases the lifetime.

The strength of the new Easy Dry diamond drill bits

lies in their easy handling and their very long lifetime

despite dry use. This minimises time-consuming

preparatory work, which is common with wet drilling.
