Noise/Vibration Information

Measured values determined according to

EN 60745.

Typically the A-weighted noise levels of the prod-

uct are: Sound pressure level 86 dB(A); Sound

power level 97 dB(A). Uncertainty K =3 dB.

Wear hearing protection!

Vibration total values (triax vector sum) deter-

mined according to EN 60745:

Drilling into metal: Vibration emission value

=3.1 m/s

, Uncertainty K <1.5 m/s

The vibration emission level given in this informa-

tion sheet has been measured in accordance

with a standardised test given in EN 60745 and

may be used to compare one tool with another. It

may be used for a preliminary assessment of ex-

posure.

The declared vibration emission level represents

the main applications of the tool. However if the

tool is used for different applications, with differ-

ent accessories or poorly maintained, the vibra-

tion emission may differ. This may significantly

increase the exposure level over the total work-

ing period.

An estimation of the level of exposure to vibra-

tion should also take into account the times

when the tool is switched off or when it is run-

ning but not actually doing the job. This may sig-

nificantly reduce the exposure level over the total

working period.

Identify additional safety measures to protect the

operator from the effects of vibration such as:

maintain the tool and the accessories, keep the

hands warm, organisation of work patterns.

Assembly

Auxiliary Handle

f Operate your machine only with the auxiliary

handle 5.

Screw the auxiliary handle 5 into the thread 4 on

the gear head.

Changing the Tool (see figure A)

f Before any work on the machine itself, pull

the mains plug.

Drilling tools with a MK3 morse taper can be in-

serted directly into the tool holder 1. For drill bits

with MK2 morse taper, use the reducing sleeve 9.

Pay attention that the morse cone and the morse

taper are free of grease.

The use of drilling tools with cylindrical shank is

possible with the key chuck 11. For this, screw

the tapered arbor 10 onto the key chuck 11 and

insert the tapered arbor with the reducing sleeve

9 into the tool holder 1.

f Do not exert any force when inserting the

morse taper or the tapered arbor. This can

damage the tool holder and the inserted tool.

Place the drift 8 into the opening 2 in such a man-

ner that the rounded-off side faces to the auxilia-

ry handle 5.

If the drift 8 cannot be inserted through the drive

spindle, turn the tool insert a little.

Press the drift 8 toward the auxiliary handle 5

and release the tool insert from out of the tool

holder.
