Assembly
f Before any work on the vacuum cleaner it-
self, pull the mains plug.
Mounting the Handle
The vacuum cleaner cart is designed in such a
manner, that the vacuum cleaner can be pushed
easier with the push handle 16. Always grasp
the push handle 16 with both hands when push-
ing the vac.
Insert the push handle 16 into the 2 openings of
the container 11. Push the clamps 15 through
the corresponding holes of the push handle 16
and then lock the clamps 15.
The casters are equipped with brakes 12. To ac-
tuate the castor brake 12 press the lever down-
wards.
Replacing/Inserting the Dust Bag
(see figure A)
Unlock the latches 13 and remove the vacu-
um lid 3.
Pull off the full dust bag 17 from the connec-
tion flange toward the rear. Close the open-
ing of the dust bag by folding down the lid.
Remove the closed dust bag from the vacu-
um cleaner.
Slide the new dust bag 17 over the connec-
tion flange of the vacuum cleaner. Make sure
that the full length of the dust bag 17 faces
against the inner wall of the container 11.
Reattach the vacuum lid 3.
–Lock the latches 13.
For dry vacuuming operation, a dust bag 17
should be inserted. When operating with a dust
bag 17, the folded filter 18 clogs slower, the vac-
uuming performance is kept up longer and the
disposal of dust becomes easier.
When materials not hazardous to one’s health or
materials with or without an exposition value of
1mg/m
3
according to dust category L (until
now application category U) are being vacu-
umed, it is possible to vacuum directly into the
container.
When the warning light 4 flashes during IS oper-
ation and/or the alarm sounds during ENT oper-
ation, the folded filters 18 must be cleaned. For
this, set the mode selector switch 6 to the elec-
tromagnetic filter cleaning symbol. The folded
filters are cleaned for approx. 10 seconds.
If the warning light 4 should continue to flash
and/or the alarm should continue to sound, the
dust bag 17 must be exchanged.
When the warning light 4 still continues to flash
and/or the alarm continues to sound, the vacu-
um cleaner must be checked as described under
“Malfunctions”.
f The vacuum cleaner contains materials that
are hazardous to one’s health. Have the
emptying and maintenance, incl. the dispos-
al of dust-collection containers, carried out
only by specialists. Appropriate protective
equipment is required. Do not operate the
vacuum cleaner without the complete filter
system. Otherwise there is danger to your
own health.
