The tool is intended for checking the flatness of floor surfaces.
The tool is suitable for indoor use.
Intended Use
Always replace all
alkaline batteries at the
same time. Only use batteries from one
brand and with the identical capacity.
Remove the batteries from the tool
when not using it for extended periods.
When storing for extended periods, the
batteries can corrode and discharge
themselves.
The tool can either be operated with
commercially available alkaline batteries
or with optional rechargeable Bosch
lithium ion battery pack.
Alkaline batteries are included with
the tool.
For installation and removal of the
batteries, the tool’s height adjustment
must be set to the lowest position. For this,
turn the thumbwheel for height adjustment
9 in counter-clockwise direction to the
stop.
To open the battery lid 7, press on the
latch 6 and fold the battery lid up.
Insert the batteries. When inserting, pay
attention to the correct polarity according
to the representation on the inside of the
battery lid. (Fig. B or C)
To insert the battery pack 23, press on the
latch 6 and fold the battery lid 7 up. Slide
the charged battery pack completely into
the battery compartment and close the
battery lid. (Fig. C)
To remove the battery pack 23, press on
the latch 6 and fold the battery lid 7 up.
Pull the battery pack out of the battery
compartment.
If battery cover is cracked
or otherwise damaged,
do not insert into tool. Battery can fall
out when picking up or carrying.
Recharge only with the charger
specified by the manufacturer. A
charger that is suitable for one type of
battery pack may create a risk of fire when
used with another battery pack.
Use tools only with specifically
designated battery packs. Use of any
other rechargeable battery packs may
create a risk of injury and fire.
When battery pack is not in use, keep
it away from other metal objects like
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws,
or other small metal objects that make
a connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery terminals
together may cause burns or a fire.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may
be ejected from the battery, avoid
contact. If contact accidentally occurs,
flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause
irritation or burns.
Have your tool serviced by a qualified
repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that
the safety of the tool is maintained.
Develop a periodic maintenance
schedule for tool.
Follow checking recalibration
procedures outlined in this instruction
manual. When cleaning a tool be
careful not to disassemble any portion
of the tool since internal wires may
be misplaced or pinched or may be
improperly mounted. Certain cleaning
agents such as gasoline, carbon
tetrachloride, ammonia, etc. may damage
plastic parts.
