humidity filter
The humidity drawer is covered by
a special filter which allows the air to
pass through but retains the
humidity.
A high air humidity keeps leafy
vegetable fresh for longer.
Vegetables and fruit should be
stored at a slightly lower air humidity.
The air humidity in the vegetable
drawers depends on the amount of
stored food.
If the air humidity is too high, drips
may form and cause decay.

The temperature in the “cool-fresh”
drawer is about 32 °F/0 °C.
The low temperature allows
optimum storage conditions for
perishable food.
Food can be stored two to three
times longer than in the normal
refrigerator compartment without
loss of freshness.

according to the food in the “cool-
fresh” drawer:

Foods suitable for “cool-fresh”
drawer:
In principle all foods which are fresh
and are to remain fresh for even
longer, such as: meat and sausage,
fresh fish, seafood, milk, butter, soft
cheese, curd cheese, vegetables
and fruit.
