Check that the sealing rings are not worn or otherwise

damaged (cracks in the rubber) and fit replacements if

necessary, Lubricate the sealing rings with oil before fit-

ting them in place.

Use sealing ring assembly sleeve No. 5025079-01.

Check that the crankshaft is free to rotate easily. If it is

not, any stresses can be relieved by tapping the ends of

the crankshaft with a plastic mallet.

Note the following when fitting the sealing ring on the

drive side:

1. First fit the sealing ring in the holder. The dust-exclu-

ding tongue should face outwards.

Fit the O-ring in the bearing seat outside the ball bea-

ring.

3. Fit sealing ring assembly socket No. 5025053-01 on

the crankshaft.

4. Push the sealing ring holder into position and tighten

the three screws.

Mount the centrifugal clutch onto the crankshaft (left-

hand thread.

Inspect the thrust bearing in the centre of the clutch

drum, Replace if necessary.

Lubricate the shaft carrying the clutch with a few drops

of oil and fit the crankcase and clutch housing together.

Fit other components in reverse order to removal. See

also the relevant section in the manual.
