1 609 929 V18 | (1.3.10) Bosch Power Tools
To start the operation of the vac, switch on the
power tool connected to the socket 7. The vac-
uum cleaner starts automatically.
When the warning light 4 flashes and the alarm
sounds, the vacuum cleaner must be checked as
described under “Malfunctions”.
To switch off the vac, switch off the power tool.
The vacuum cleaner switches off automatically
approx. 6 seconds later.
In the operating mode ENT with remote auto-
matic switching, the electronic reduced starting
current limits the power consumption when
switching on the vacuum cleaner, and thus al-
lows operation from a 16-A circuit breaker.
Electromagnetic filter cleaning
The machine is equipped with an electromag-
netic filter cleaning system, which removes dust
adhering to the folded filter 18.
The filter cleaning system must be actuated lat-
est when the vacuuming performance is no long-
er sufficient.
Set the mode selector switch 6 to the symbol
electromagnetic filter cleaning. A possibly con-
nected power tool must be switched off.
The machine vibrates for approx. 10 seconds
and switches off automatically.
Wait shortly before restarting the vacuuming op-
eration so that the dust can settle in the contain-
er.
The filter cleaning frequency depends on the
type and amount of dust. With regular usage,
the maximum vacuuming performance is main-
tained longer.
Wet Vacuuming
f Do not vacuum inflammable or explosive
fluids; for example, benzene, oil, alcohol,
solvents. Do not vacuum hot or burning
dust. Do not operate the machine in rooms
where the danger of an explosion exists.
The dusts, vapours or fluids can ignite or ex-
plode.
f The vacuum cleaner may not be used as a
water pump. The vacuum cleaner is intended
for vacuuming air and water mixtures.
f Before any work on the vacuum cleaner it-
self, pull the mains plug.
Note: Before wet vacuuming, the dust bag 17
must be removed and the container 11 must be
emptied.
The machine is equipped with level sensors 20.
The vac switches off when the maximum filling
height is reached. Set the mode selector switch
6 to off.
After vacuuming, remove the folded filter 18 in
order to avoid mildew, and allow it to dry thor-
oughly, or remove the vacuum lid 3 and allow it
to dry.
Application Possibilities
The vacuum cleaner is suitable for vacuuming
and extracting the following materials:
Fine dusts below the general dust limit value
of 3 mg/m
3
Dusts of mineral materials with aluminium
hydroxide
Graphite dusts
–Aluminium dusts
Paper dusts
–Soot dusts
Powder-paint dusts
Polyurethane dusts
GFRP dusts based on epoxy resin, see manu-
facturer’s data sheet on safety
CFP dusts based on epoxy resin, see manu-
facturer’s data sheet on safety
Varnish dusts without carcinogenic compo-
nents
–Wood dusts
The vacuum cleaner may generally not be used
in rooms where the danger of an explosion ex-
ists.
