Menu items that prepare your telephone for receiving VIP calls
A s hort signal tone will sound to indicate an announcement with acknowl-
edgement and your telephone automatically activates the ”Handsfree”
mode. The caller needs to have this attribute activated in their telephone.
You can answer directly.
”Receive VIP functions” on your telephone must be set to ”Authorised”.
The call number of the caller must be indicated as a VIP number in your
telephone book.
If your line is busy, this call will be received as a second
call.
If ”Handsfree answer back” is activated, the LED on your telephone will
flash. A short signal tone will sound during an incoming call and your tele-
phone automatically activates the ”Handsfree” mode. You can answer di-
rectly.
”Receive VIP functions” on your telephone must be set to ”on” or ”Autho-
rised”. If your line is busy, this call will be received as a second call.
In order to avoid abuse and involuntary monitoring of other subscribers, the
setup of VIP functions is protected by a PIN.
Please note: For the setting ”Receive VIP functions on”, your microphone
is activated for every call if you did not temporarily deactivate it with your
PIN. A short signal tone sounds. The microphone is activated and all con-
versations can be heard throughout the room.
Incoming calls from VIP subscribers are indicated by a special signal tone.
The VIP tone can be activated or deactivated in the ”Silence the telephone”
menu
